Start the valve lifter replacement by removing the valve Rocker Arm cover then the lower Intake Manifold and finally extracting the valve rocker arms and pushrods. You need to remove lifter guide bolts and the lifter guide while placing all valve train components into a designated rack to retain their positioning. After that, remove the lifters. Use prelude gm p/n 1052367 (Canadian P/N 992869) or equivalent solution to coat the valve lifters before reinstalling them to their original positions. Reinstall the lifter guide by first applying threadlock gm p/n 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or equivalent to the bolts then tighten them to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). After installing the valve rocker arms and lower Intake Manifold with pushrods complete the installation by attaching the valve Rocker Arm cover and check for any fluid leaks.
