The valve Rocker Arm bolts should be removed followed by the push rods and valve rocker arms then the push rod guide plates and finally the guide bolts and valve lifter guides before removing the valve lifters. You should clean all mating gasket surfaces and valve train components before inspecting the valve lifters and cam lobe wear. Apply prelude gm p/n 12345501 (Canadian P/N 992704) or equivalent solution to the valve lifters before reinstalling them to their original positions. Secure the valve lifter guides using valve lifter guide bolts at 30 nm torque but no more than 22 ft. Lbs. After installing the lower Intake Manifold and valve Rocker Arm cover, reinstall the push rod guide plates and push rods together with valve rocker arms and bolts.
