How to replace the Dipstick Tube on 2004 Chevrolet Impala?

To replace oil level indicator and tube, remove oil level indicator and oil level indicator tube bracket nut first then take out oil level indicator tube. Switch off the ignition before applying oil to the outer-O-ring to facilitate installation of the oil-indicator tube to the engine block, and then attache the oil-indicator tube bracket to the engine's exhaust manifold stud carefully observing the Fastener Notice in Service precautions. Then, tighten the oil level indicator tube bracket nut by 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs.), and then replace the oil level indicator. Lastly, check and replenish the engine oil as required.
