Oil Tube

Service of the engine oil dip stick and dip stick tube starts by taking off the oil level indicator. The procedure starts with unfastening the nut which attaches the oil level indicator tube bracket to the exhaust manifold stud before extracting the tube upward. The first step for installation involves checking that the o-ring is positioned properly while the oil indicator tube should be completely inside the engine before mounting the oil indicator tube bracket onto the exhaust manifold stud. The oil level indicator tube bracket nut needs to be installed on the exhaust manifold stud and tightened with a torque of 19 nm (14 ft. Lbs.). You should complete the installation of the oil level indicator.

The oil level indicator replacement process begins with disconnecting the oil level indicator followed by nut loosening on the oil level indicator tube bracket which secures it to the exhaust manifold stud. Afterwards gently draw the tube upward to finish removing it. When you place the oil indicator tube on the engine ensure the O-ring remains in position and the tube reaches its complete seating. Put the oil indicator tube bracket on the exhaust manifold stud and fasten the oil level indicator tube bracket nut on the stud by tightening it to 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs.). You must install the oil level indicator after finishing all steps.

Take out the oil level indicator tube bolt and pull the tube up through the exhaust manifold.

Tighten the oil level indicator tube nut to 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs.).

Discard the old seal.

Position the indicator tube bracket behind the tube nut.

Extract the oil level indicator tube up through the exhaust manifold.

Tighten the oil level indicator tube nut to 19 N.m (14 lb ft).

Discard the old seal.

First, remove the oil level indicator.

Loosen the nut securing the oil level indicator tube bracket to the exhaust manifold stud.

Tighten it to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

Install the oil level indicator tube into the engine block, ensuring to follow the fastener notice in service precautions.

Take out the oil level indicator tube.

Take out the oil level indicator tube bracket bolt from the bracket and remove the oil level indicator tube.

Reinstall the oil level indicator and the spark plug wire to the number 6 cylinder spark plug.

First, remove the oil level indicator and the oil level indicator tube bracket nut, then take out the oil level indicator tube.

Secure the oil level indicator tube bracket bolt, tightening it to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
