Scrape off ignition wiring fittings, support the crankshaft balancer edges with j 51283-a, and install j 38197-a (Crankshaft Balancer Puller) to remove the crankshaft balancer along with j 38197-a. Install the crankshaft balancer after treating its contact points along with the engine front cover seal and seal surface with engine oil. The installation of a new crankshaft balancer bolt should begin with j 45059 (Torque Angle Meter) usage to block Flywheel rotation while torquing the bolt up to 150 nm (111 ft. Lbs.) before adding an additional 76 degrees of rotation with j 45059 installed. The technician must first remove j 45059 from service before installing torque converter covers and right engine splash shield with retainers along with right front tire and wheel before lowering the vehicle to install the Drive Belt while reconnecting the negative Battery Cable.
