How to replace the hood latch on 2003 Chevrolet Tracker?

Starting your Hood Latch replacement requires hood elevation followed by mounting it above the vehicle body. Detach the hood primary latch from the front upper panel first by removing its 2 securing bolts. Then disconnect the hood primary latch release cable from the latch and remove the latch from the vehicle. The hood primary latch release cable connects to the hood primary latch before reattaching the latch to the vehicle using 2 retaining bolts only loosely. The hood primary latch must be adjusted so that the striker shaft matches the center groove of the latch and the hood sits level with the front fenders. Before lowering the hood secure the retaining bolts at 10 n.m (89 lb in).
