To access the coil connector disconnect the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly from both the wire harness assembly and the wire harness strap. Take both connectors out of the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly from its bulkhead connection. Stick the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly into the steering column tilt head base through its two pan head screws. Depose the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly onto the steering column tilt head assembly with electrical contact in contact with the turn signal cancel cam assembly. Insert the two pan head screws and into the assembly. Tighten the top screw to 3 Nm (30 inch lbs.) and the side screw to 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.). Connect the face of both turn signal and multifunction switch connectors in the bulkhead then link the assembly wires to the SIR coil. Connect the abrasion sleeve over the steering column wire harness before you position the ignition lock cylinder case wires and connection in the right spots. Complete the installation by putting the wire harness assembly through its holder and fixing upper and lower trims while turning on SIR functions.
