2003 GMC Safari Car Speakers Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the front upper car speakers on 2003 GMC Safari?
A: The process to replace the front upper speaker begins by taking off the assist handle from the door followed by removing the retaining screw from the trim plate before extracting the escutcheon from this plate. Swing the trim plate downward before rotating the tweeter speaker away from its mount tabs until removal is possible. The electrical connector needs to be disconnected at this stage. Connect electrical wiring first before securing the tweeter speaker into the trim plate through rotating motions to complete mounting tabs. The trim plate should be raised to check component operation before putting back the escutcheon on the plate and tightening its retaining screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in). The assist handle needs final installation on the door assembly.
