How to service and repair the starter motor on 2003 GMC Safari?

In order to service and repair the starter motor, disconnection of the battery negative cable and lifting up of the vehicle is required. Unscrew the starter motor mounting bolts and unscrew the required leads. To install, attach the starter motor field leads, screw the nuts, fit the mounting bolts and reattach the negative cable of the battery.
