How to replace the Trunk Lock Cylinder in the liftgate on 2003 GMC Safari?

You need to take off the liftgate garnish molding before changing the lock cylinder. First take off the electrical connector before removing the rear Wiper Motor from the liftgate. Extract the lock cylinder retainer first then remove the lock cylinder from the liftgate area. Place the new lock cylinder into the liftgate first and then install it with the lock cylinder retainer. Put back the rear Wiper Motor and join its electrical connections then install the liftgate garnish piece.
