You need to take off the liftgate garnish molding before working on the replacement. After unplugging the electrical connector you must take out the whole rear Wiper Motor from the liftgate. Move the lock cylinder retainer to access the cylinder before taking it out of the liftgate. Start the installation by inserting the lock cylinder into the liftgate then adding the lock cylinder retainer. After setting the rear Wiper Motor you can place its electrical connector back in place followed by installing the liftgate garnish molding.

Begin the liftgate lock cylinder change by removing the trim panels and liftgate window latches. Push the pin down on the lock cylinder and turn the cylinder counter-clockwise to take it out of the latch assembly. To install the liftgate lock cylinder you should position it onto the latch assembly then turn it clockwise until the pin connects. Reinstall the whole system after putting the trim panel back.

Begin the lock cylinder replacement work by taking off the liftgate garnish molding. Unplug the electrical connection then take out the rear Wiper Motor from the liftgate. You can remove the lock cylinder by first taking off its retainer then detaching it from the liftgate. Begin by inserting the new lock cylinder into the liftgate. After that insert the lock cylinder retainer. Put the Wiper Motor in its right position and plug in its electrical connector before securing the liftgate garnish molding.

Begin the liftgate lock cylinder replacement by taking out the garnish molding. First untether the electrical connections before taking out the rear wiper unit from the liftgate. Pull out the lock cylinder retainer and lift the lock cylinder straight out from the liftgate. First install the new lock cylinder into the liftgate before putting on the lock cylinder retainer. Attach the rear Wiper Motor back to the liftgate while linking the electrical connection and mounting the liftgate garnish molding last.

You need to remove the liftgate window latch support before disconnecting electrical connections to replace the liftgate lock cylinder. First free the liftgate lock cylinder from its holder before taking out the part itself. Insert the liftgate lock cylinder into its place before attaching the retainer clip. Connect electrical wires properly before installing the liftgate window latch support.

Install the lock cylinder into the outside door handle.

Install the gasket and the lock cylinder to the door, followed by the lock cylinder retainer.

Remove the nuts from the door handle and take the door handle out.

Reinstall the water deflector and finish by reattaching the trim panel.

Connect the door handle lock rod to the handle, install the access hole plug, and then reinstall the water deflector.

Reinstall the rear wiper motor and reconnect the electrical connector.

Remove the outside handle nuts and the outside handle itself, then disconnect the license lamp wiring and remove the license plate housing bolts and housing.

Remove the trim panel and access cover.

Apply a coating of lubricant, such as GMP/N12346241 or CanadianP/N10953474.

Use a flat-bladed tool to take out the door lock cylinder retainer and remove the door lock cylinder from the outside door handle.

Reconnect the control rod to the lock cylinder through the clip, followed by the door lock shield and license plate housing.
