The first step for replacing the rear door latch includes removing the trim panel. The water deflector can be carefully removed from the door by using a soft-surfaced scraper if needed. Separate the control rods from the remote lock by first easing the anchor loose from its hole then moving the clip toward the opposite end of the lever before drawing rod and clip past the lever. You should start by removing upper latch screws together with the upper latch (when equipped) before taking out upper latch and rod from the door. The door requires removal of lower latch screws followed by reinforcement and lower latch and rod. Begin the installation process by adding clips onto the remote lock before you install the lower latch and rod onto the door and then add the reinforcement piece. Fasten the lower latch screws using a wrench torque of 8 N.m until they reach 71 lb in. echa business is to install the upper latch and rod to the door while adding the cover if present and securing the upper latch screws at 10 N.m (88 lb in). Install the control rods back into the remote lock through the clips before returning the water deflector and placing on the trim panel.

Detach the lock rods from the sliding side door rear lock and remove the bolts securing the lock to the door.

Reinstall the water deflector and the trim panel.

Remove the power door lock actuator to access the remote lever rod and disconnect the wiring harness.

Remove the four bolts that secure the sliding side door control assembly to the sliding side door, and then take the control assembly out of the sliding side door and the vehicle.

First, remove the left side rear door trim panel.

Remove the screws securing the lock to the right side rear door and then take the lock out of the vehicle.

Reattach the lock rod to the side rear door upper latch and finally reinstall the side rear door trim panel.

Position the new left side rear door upper latch onto the door and secure it with the bolts, tightening them to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Position the new power door lock actuator and secure it with the two retainers to the door lock assembly.

Install the new left side rear door lower latch and secure it with the four bolts, tightening them to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Reinstall the side rear door trim panel.

Begin by removing the side rear door trim panel.

Ensure to follow fastener caution to prevent vehicle damage during the process.

Remove the water deflector.

Install the new latch back onto the door.

Position the side front door lock back into the door and install the screws, tightening them to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

Reinstall the door lock assembly.

Reconnect the electrical connection.

Take out the two retainers securing the power door lock actuator to the door lock assembly, and then remove the actuator itself.

Remove the two latch bolts and take out the latch.

Position the side rear door lower latch back onto the door and install the bolts to secure it, tightening them to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Secure it with the power door lock actuator retainers to the door lock assembly.

Start by installing the latch brackets, followed by the rivets.

Drill out the rivets and remove the latch bracket.

Attach the actuator cable assembly to the latch.

Install the new left side rear door upper latch and secure it with the bolts, tightening them to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

Drill out the two rivets and remove the latch bracket.

Reattach the lock rod to the left side rear door upper latch.

Finally, reinstall the door lock assembly according to the relevant procedure for the specific door type.

Take out the two retainers securing the power door lock actuator from the door lock assembly, and then remove the actuator itself.

Position the new side rear door lower latch onto the door, ensuring to follow fastener caution guidelines.

Utilize a 6mm (1/4in) drill bit to remove the actuator to door rivets.

Take out the sliding side door rear lock from the door and the vehicle.

Position the side rear door upper latch onto the door and install the bolts, tightening them to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Reinstall the lock rods.

Next, detach the lock rods from the side front door lock and disconnect the electrical connector from the side front door lock if necessary.

Reconnect the actuator wiring connector, attach the actuator to the lever rod, and finally reinstall the water deflector and trim panel.

Position the new power door lock actuator and secure it with the two retainers to the door lock assembly.

Next, detach the lock rod from the side rear door upper latch and remove the bolt securing the latch to the door.

Place the new lock into the vehicle and secure it to the right side rear door using the screws, tightening them to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

Install the latch and ensure to tighten the two latch bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

Position the new left side rear door upper latch onto the door and secure it with the bolts, tightening them to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Reinstall the door lock assembly.

Position the new side rear door upper latch onto the door and install the bolts, tightening them to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Reattach the lock rod to the latch.

Position the lock back into the door and secure it with the bolts, tightening them to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

Position the left side rear door upper latch back onto the door and secure it with the bolts, tightening them to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Reinstall the left side rear door trim panel.

Remove the left side rear door trim panel.

First, remove the side rear door trim panel.

Install the new upper latch onto the door, ensuring to tighten the retaining bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
