How to replace the power door lock actuator on Chevrolet Astro?

Start the replacement process of the power door lock actuator by taking out the trim panel. A sharp bladed tool should cut the water deflector at every perforation. Secondly remove the power door lock actuator to gain access to the remote lever rod before disconnecting the wiring harness. The actuator to door rivets can be removed by using a 6 mm (1/4 in) drill bit and you should then free the actuator from the door. During actuator installation position the door component back into its original place and its installation requires new rivets and plastic retainer clip installation every time the lock rod is disconnected. The wiring harness should be reconnected immediately before fitting the water deflector and actuator to the remote lever rod. Finally the trim panel installation will complete the procedure.
