    Q:
How to replace the front side door lock on Chevrolet K3500? Posted by Customer
    A:
The procedure for front side Door Lock replacement begins by removing the trim panel together with the water deflector and inner mounting panel assembly. The replacement process begins with unplugging the inside Door Handle along with lock control rods followed by separating the lock assembly bolts before moving on to detach the outside Door Handle with its linked lock control rods. Install the plastic retainers after accomplishing full installation. Start by removing the outside handle from the door and then attach the latch outside door connector to the rod before putting the latch inside the door unit. Protect the lock assembly bolts by installing them correctly at 9 n.m (80 lb in). The inside handle rod (top rod) should be connected with the inside lock rod (bottom rod) at the latch before inserting a key into the lock cylinder to adjust the rods through the opening. Fitting the operation sequence ends with reinstallation of the inner mounting panel assembly in addition to the water deflector and trim panel.
