    Q:
How to replace the passenger front door striker on GMC C2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
The process of striker replacement for the passenger front door starts with stripping the bottom bolt. The striker with auxiliary spacer should move away from the lower bolt hole when the upper striker bolt receives just enough release to turn both pieces completely. Tighten the lower striker bolt sufficiently until the backing plate of the striker stays in place. After removing the upper striker bolt you should take out the spacer (if equipped) as well as the striker. Installation begins after you set the striker and spacer (if equipped) followed by the upper striker bolt. The installer should rotate the lower striker bolt to achieve proper alignment of the upper threaded hole on the striker backing plate. Uniform the lower threaded hole on the striker backing plate by rotating the striker together with any spacer present. Screw in the door striker bolts until they achieve 24 N.m (18 lb ft) torque measurement.
