How to replace the rear upper Door Latch Assembly on 2002 Chevrolet Express 2500?

Remove the side rear door trim panel before you can replace the side rear door upper latch . Then, unplug the side rear door upper latch lock rod from the latch and take out the bolts that keep the latch attached to the door. At this point, you should take out the side rear door upper latch . Carefully put the new side rear door upper latch onto the door, then screw in the bolts until they reach 25 N.m (18 lb ft). After that, hook the side rear door upper latch lock rod to the latch , and put the side rear door trim panel back on.
