The valve lifter remover product (J 3049-A) should be used to free gum and varnish obstructed valve lifters before their removal. Reposition the valve lifters to their original locations through marking or organization before reinstalling. Start by cleaning valve lifters and checking them for damage then apply clean engine oil to both the valve lifters and bores in the engine block. Pace the valve lifters into the lifter guides until the flat areas from both components line up with each other in the bore. Entirely push the lifters down to their proper position. Place the valve lifters into their guide spot in the engine block following installation of the valve lifter guide bolt. Tighten the bolt to 12 nm (106 inch lbs.). Follow the procedure by putting on the Cylinder Head with its gasket.
