How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor (7X) on 2004 Buick Century?

To replace the Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor (7X), rotate the steering wheel to its full left position and then raise the vehicle and hold. Pull off the right tire and wheel, disconnect the CKP sensor electrical connector, remove CKP sensor bolt, then the CKP sensor. If CKP sensor is not being replaced, then it should be checked for wear, cracks and leakage. Before installation, lubricate the O-ring with clean engine oil and fit it if it is damaged. Mount the CKP sensor and tighten it with the CKP sensor bolt to 11 N.m (97 lb in). The CKP sensor's electrical wire should be reconnected, the right vehicle's tire and wheel placed back; the vehicle is then to be lowered. Finally, perform the crankshaft position (CKP) system variation learn procedure.
