How to Replace a Power Steering Hose on 2004 Buick Century?

A vehicle must be raised before performing replacement tasks on the power steering cooler pipe/hose. First detach the cooler pipe/hose from its retaining clips on the frame and clamps on the steering gear before taking away its retaining bolt (10 N.m (89 lb in)) from the frame. Next remove the return hose from the cooler pipe/hose. You must first detach the cooler pipe/hose from both the steering gear and vehicle space. Remove also the wiring harness clip from this pipe/hose before moving on to the next step. Place the cooler pipe/hose inside the vehicle before connecting it to the steering gear while tightening the fitting to 27 n.m (20 lb ft). You should reinstall the wiring harness clip onto the cooler pipe/hose before you set the cooler pipe/hose into place on steering gear clips followed by installation of the retaining clip onto the frame. The installer must bolt (10 N.m (89 lb in)) the cooler pipe/hose to the frame while rehooking the return hose to the pipe and lower the vehicle before filling the power steering system for bulb bleeding followed by leak inspection.
