Start by taking away the Coolant Reservoir before disconnecting the return hose from the Power Steering Pump and the retaining bracket from the engine and the cooler pipe/hose. The new power steering return hose installation requires accurate alignment between its connectors with the cooler pipe/hose as well as the retaining bracket on the engine and Power Steering Pump. The replacement ends with reattaching the Coolant Reservoir followed by power steering system filling and bleeding out any air. Complete the inspection of the power steering system and remove the drain pan located beneath the vehicle as the last step.
