2004 Buick LeSabre Door Handle Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the front outside door handle on 2004 Buick LeSabre?
A: Begin the front outside Door Handle replacement by putting the window at full up position and taking out the door trim panel. Identify and pull back the right rear push-in retainer on the water deflector to gain access to the outside Door Handle. You need to open the retainer at the door latch to both disconnect the lock cylinder rod from the door latch and the outside Door Handle rod. A upward and outward force will allow you to extract the handle together with its designated rods after taking out its fasteners. Remove the outside Door Handle while disconnecting the rods of the handle alongside the lock cylinder. To put in place the handle needs to be joined with the lock rods to the outdoor handle before inserting the combined pieces into the door which should then be rotated horizontally. To install the handle properly insert the rods through the cutout and then position the handle while applying tilt and inward stress before lowering the handle till the door metal snaps into place with the lower retaining tabs. Attach the outside Door Handle fasteners before securing each unit with 7 n.m (62 lb in). Attach the lock cylinder rod to the door latch before inserting it into the clip located on the Door Latch Assembly and then firmly close the clip. Examine the Door Handle and lock cylinder function correctly before putting on the water deflector and door trim panel. Complete the procedure by adding the water deflector followed by insertion of the door trim panel.
