2003 Buick LeSabre Door Handle Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the rear outside door handle on 2003 Buick LeSabre?
A: You should start replacement of the rear outside Door Handle by positioning the window in full up mode then removing the door trim panel. You can access the outside Door Handle through the water deflector opening until you reach the outside Door Handle latch rod retainer. Then disconnect the rod at the door latch. The next step should include taking away the inside Door Handle and the door latch. The fasteners for the outside Door Handle pass through respective access holes enabling users to elevate the handle together with its attached latch rod outwards. Separate the rod from the Door Handle structure. The first step for installation involves connecting the Door Handle rod to the outside Door Handle before putting the handle into the door and rotating it horizontally. Begin by placing the rods into the cutout, move the handle to the proper position while applying up and inward force until the door metal hits the two lower locking tabs around the handle circuit. Fasten the outside Door Handle fasteners through their respective access holes while tightening them to 7 n.m (62 lb in). To complete the installation you should install the door latch followed by the inside Door Handle. The Door Handle rod needs to be inserted through the clip which belongs to the Door Latch Assembly to finally close the clip. The technician must test lock cylinders and door handles for correct functioning before putting on the water deflector and door trim panel.
