  A: Open the hood first and take out the Hood Latch before detaching the Hood Cable from the Hood Latch. First secure a string to the Hood Cable for inserting it into the engine bay and afterward extract the front fascia extension and front wheelhouse liner. Remove the clips which maintain the Hood Cable from the automobile system until it can be detached from the hood release handle. Then remove nuts which fix the hood release handle into position before disconnecting the Hood Cable from the handle assembly. Secure a piece of string to the Hood Cable for convenient installation through the passenger area before taking out the cable and grommet from the opening. You should place the string at both ends of the new Hood Cable before moving it through the passenger compartment and removing the string. Establish a connection between the hood release handle and the Hood Cable through fasteners.
