2004 Buick Park Avenue Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Washer Reservoir and pump on 2004 Buick Park Avenue?
A: Detach power connections from the Washer Pump unit before disconnecting the washer solvent level sensor and removing the washer hose to drain the solvent to a suitable receptacle. Take off Brake Master Cylinder mounting nuts without breaking the hydraulic brake pipes and position the Brake Master Cylinder towards the passenger area. Pull out the two nuts from the washer solvent container before gently raising it to disconnect the vehicle. Extract the Washer Pump and grommet with their level sensor. Place the washer solvent level sensor into the container and line up the tab with the slot in the installation entrance. Fit the grommet and Washer Pump into the container while steering the lower tab into its body rail slot. Then use 2 nuts to attach the container and torque them to 8 n.m (70 lb in). Carefully set the Brake Master Cylinder on the mounting studs before placing the nuts. Rejoin washer system connections to both solvent level sensor and pump, add washer solvent into the tank through its receptacle, and test wiper washer functionality.
