2004 Buick Park Avenue Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the windshield washer pump and reservoir on 2004 Buick Park Avenue?
A: Start by disconnecting both electrical wires from the Washer Pump and level sensor before removing the washer hose. Then fill a proper container with washer fluid from the pump as you detach it. Position the Brake Master Cylinder toward the passenger area when you remove its bracket mounting nuts while keeping hydraulic brake pipes attached. Detach the washer solvent container when you remove its two nuts then lift the container away from the vehicle to take out the Washer Pump and grommet before removing the washer solvent level sensor. Insert the washer solvent level sensor into the washer solvent container so its tab sits in the corresponding slot of the container opening. Put the Washer Pump and grommet into the container then line up the lower tab insert at the slot on the rail body and fasten the container using 2 nuts tightened to 8 n.m (70 lb in). Refit the Brake Master Cylinder onto its mounting studs and install its mounting nuts while taking care. Reconnect the electrical wires to the washer solvent level sensor and Washer Pump while attaching the washer hose to the pump. Then install washer solvent into the container before placing its cap correctly. Confirm the washer wiper system operates as expected.
