2005 Buick Park Avenue Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the windshield washer pump and reservoir on 2005 Buick Park Avenue?
A: Disconnect the Washer Pump electrical connector then take out the washer hose from the pump to drain washer solvent from the reservoir. Handle the Brake Master Cylinder mounting nuts with care while leaving hydraulic brake pipes connected and move the cylinder towards the passenger area. Take the two nuts from the washer solvent container and elevate it to separate it from the car. Unpack the Washer Pump and grommet together with the washer solvent level sensor when you remove the container contents. Insert the washer solvent level sensor in the container with the tab sitting at the slot. Then place the grommet and Washer Pump into the container. Place the container bottom into its body rail slot before installing both nuts and tightening them evenly with 8 n.m or 70 pounds of in force. Place the Brake Master Cylinder over the mounting studs before hand-threading the nuts in place. Reassemble the washer system by connecting both electrical components to the sensor and pump plus attaching the hose to the pump. Fill the container with washer solvent and put the cap on before checking if the wiper washer works correctly.
