2005 Buick Park Avenue Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Washer Reservoir and pump on 2005 Buick Park Avenue?
A: Begin washing pump and reservoir replacement by disconnecting electricity from both components before draining washer solvent through the Washer Pump connection. Detach the 2 Brake Master Cylinder mounting nuts but leave the hydraulic brake lines connected to it. Slowly move the Brake Master Cylinder toward the interior space of the vehicle. Unscrew the 2 container nut retainers, grab the container up to release it from the vehicle, and take out the Washer Pump and grommet along with their level sensor from the container. Position the washer solvent level sensor into the container and match the tab slot on the hole before you install it. Fit the grommet and Washer Pump inside the container. Line up the lower tab with the socket in the body rail. Secure the container with 2 nuts tightened to 8 n.m (70 lb in). Place the Brake Master Cylinder on the mounting studs and tighten its fasteners properly. Connect the washer solvent container level sensor and Washer Pump electrical wires then link the washer hose to the Washer Pump. Add washer solvent to the container and attach its cap before testing the wiper washer system.
