    A: Before replacing the Water Pump, drain the engine coolant and then remove the Drive Belt. Then remove the Water Pump Pulley bolts and the Water Pump Pulley. Finally unbolt and remove Water Pump mounting bolts (1, 2) and Water Pump. Clean the gasket mating surfaces and examine the Water Pump. To install, replace faded gasket and install the Water Pump on the engine: short bolts to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.); long bolts to 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.). Then attach the Water Pump Pulley and bolts, tightening to 13 nm/115 inch lbs. Finally, reinstall the Drive Belt and add coolant to the cooling system.
