2004 Buick Regal Headlight Bulb Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace a Headlight Bulb in a Headlamp Assembly on 2004 Buick Regal?
A: Begin headlamp bulb or cornering, sidemarker, park, or turn signal bulb replacement by opening the hood before applying light pressure to keep the headlamp lens in place while removing the retainers. The first step involves raising the retainers on each headlamp until they detach before taking out the retainers. First loosen the retaining tabs on all headlamp mounting slots on both the upper fascia support and fender reinforcement before detaching the electrical connector from the headlamp and finally removing it. Check all bulbs/sockets for replacement while observing the essential halogen bulb caution then take out the rubber access covers located behind the headlamp bulb/sockets. Turn the headlamp bulb socket counterclockwise to open it before you disconnect the electrical connector from the bulb socket. To install the new headlamp bulb/socket connect its electrical connector first before moving it into position and rotating it clockwise to reach complete seating. After installation of the rubber covers return to the headlamp and complete the electrical connector connection. Install the headlamp mounting tabs by placing them in the slots of the upper fascia support and fender reinforcement while applying light pressure on the lens through the installation of retainers. Press the retainers onto the mounting tabs until they attach completely to their positions. The last step includes inspecting the headlamp for proper seating as well as checking its aim when the vehicle features new headlamps or when service could have affected mounting brackets. Close the hood afterward.
