How to replace the front door window channel on 2004 Cadillac DeVille?

Window run channel replacement in the front door requires you to start by removing door trim panel and door module. You should first take off the water deflector and then the garnish molding. Remove the window inner belt sealing strip as the following step. In order to separate the window run channel from its door flange position use hands to lift and propel from the bottom rear installation point. The window run channel installation process starts by placing the front leg and the rear leg through the belt line into the door flange until the channel rests properly at the top corner of the center pillar with the rear notch in position with the run channel rubber block. Place the rest of the window run onto the flange while keeping the front notch aligned with the run channel rubber block. First install the front and rear legs of the window run channel through the belt line and into the door flange. Next set the window inner belt sealing strip. Finally secure the garnish molding and water deflector. The conclusion of the repair requires the door module to be replaced together with the door trim panel.
