Channel, Rear Driver Side

The first step to change the front channel of the rear side door window requires door trim panel removal. Remove the door module along with the water deflector from the next step of the assembly. Reconnect the power window control switch to the module before raising the window to its maximum position. You must first take out the upper and lower fasteners then you can rotate the front Window Channel toward the front before pulling it out through the front access hole on the inner door panel. Start by passing the front Window Channel through the front access hole of the inner door panel and then reverse its direction until it reaches the lowered window edge. Secure the front window channels with upper and lower fasteners to 9 n.m (80 lb in). To install this component properly you must first place the window in its lowest setting then remove the power module connection followed by reinstallation of the water barrier before replacing the door trim. Before concluding the installation process, install the door module followed by the door trim panel.

Insert the new front window channel through the same access hole, rotate it rearward, and align it on the lower edge of the window.

Take off the window inner belt sealing strip.

Remove the mirror to access the retaining bolt for the front window channel, then pull out the window weatherstrip from the window channels pinchweld.

Remove the lower fastener from the front window channel and the upper fastener from the push nut, then extract the front window channel through the front access hole of the inner door panel.

Insert the front window channel through the front access hole, rotate it rearward, and align it on the lower edge of the window.
