2004 Chevrolet Blazer Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Replace a Fuse Box in the Underhood Electrical Center on 2004 Chevrolet Blazer?
A: The process for underhood electrical center or junction block replacement begins by disconnecting the battery negative cable followed by taking off both the battery positive cable cover and the bolt before detaching the cable from the center. Begin by first unscrewing the bolts that connect the underhood electrical center to its support bracket before unstabilizing the bottom electrical connectors by loosening the mounting bolts. Finally remove the electrical center from the vehicle. Affix the electrical connectors to the underhood electrical center by tightening the bolts to 7 n.m (62 lb in). Install bolts on the support bracket which hold the center while tightening them to 7 n.m (62 lb in). Connect the battery positive cable with bolt to underhood electrical center while tightening it to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Then reinstall the battery positive cable cover and reconnect the battery negative cable.
