2005 Chevrolet Blazer Fuse Box Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the underhood fuse box on 2005 Chevrolet Blazer?
A: The replacement process of the underhood electrical center or junction block requires Battery Cable negative disconnection followed by removing the positive cover and bolt before detaching the positive cable from the electrical center. Start by removing the bolts from the support bracket which secures the underhood electrical center then loosen the bottom bolts from the electrical connectors before disconnecting and taking out the center from the vehicle. The installation requires proper connection of electrical connectors to the underhood electrical center and subsequent tightening of bolts to 7 n.m (62 lb in). First you must install the bolts connecting the center to the support bracket while torquing them to 7 n.m (62 lb in). To complete the repair the mechanic should reconnect the battery positive cable by tightening its bolt to 10 n.m (89 lb in) onto the underhood electrical center and should then secure the positive cable cover then reconnect the battery negative cable.
