How to replace the thermostat in a car with an automatic transmission on 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier?

To replace the Thermostat, first, if you have an automatic transmission then first remove an Exhaust Manifold. Remove the cooling system, then take off Thermostat Housing to water pump feed pipe bolts, and Thermostat Housing to water pump base. Take out the Thermostat. For the installation, set the new Thermostat into position and then set the Thermostat Housing to water pump feed pipe. Make sure that you tighten the Thermostat Housing to water pump feed pipe bolt to 10 nm (18 inch lbs). In case the vehicle is equipped with an automatic transmission, remove the Exhaust Manifold. Finally, fill the cooling system.
