2004 Chevrolet Corvette Blower Motor Resistor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the blower motor resistor on 2004 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: Start by removing the front floor kick-up panel then the cover off the ip electrical center and take out the blo mot maxifuse priority device from its ip electrical center position. First remove the rh lower ip insulator panel then disconnect the engine wiring harness from the Blower Motor Resistor and separate the Blower Motor Resistor connector from the Blower Motor. Turn the forward retaining screws of the Blower Motor Resistor nearest to the dash mat slowly until they reach 5 mm tolerance then remove the rear retaining screw. Lower the resistor tail section carefully to uninstall it from the vehicle keeping the hvac module part safe. Check the Blower Motor Resistor seal for damage and replace it when needed. Fit the Blower Motor Resistor forward retaining slots onto the nearest dash screws before sliding the top component into the hvac housing space. Insert and tighten the rear retaining screw. On the other hand, all screw assemblies should have a torque level of 1.6 n.m (14 lb in). Connect the Blower Motor electrical wiring to the resistor unit and then connect the wiring harness to the resistor on the vehicle. Put back the rh lower ip insulator panel and connect the blo mot maxifuse(r) #49 electrical equipment at its ip center while installing both protection covers on the ip center and front floor kick-up panel.
