Chevrolet Corvette Blower Motor Resistor Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the blower motor resistor on Chevrolet Corvette?
A: Start replacement by taking off the front floor kick-up panel and cover from the ip electrical center. Unplug blo mot from the ip electrical center then disconnect the ip lower insulator panel on the right side. Unplug both electrical connectors from the Blower Motor resistor prior to unplugging it from the Blower Motor. Turn and slacken the forward two retaining screws of the Blower Motor resistor 5 mm then remove its rear screw. Lower the resistor's back end gently while keeping the attached hvac module part safe to pull the motor resistor out of the vehicle. Check if the Blower Motor resistor seal shows damage and order a new one if needed. Fit the upper part of the Blower Motor resistor into the hvac module while aligning its components. Then place the forward retaining slots of the resistor onto the screws and set the resistor in place. Set the rear screw into position and leave it light tight at first before turning all retaining screws to 1.6 n.m (14 lb in). First join the Blower Motor resistor to its electrical connector and second connect the wiring harness electrical connector to the Blower Motor resistor. Put back the ip lower insulator panel on the right side while also connecting the blo mot maxifuse #49 to its electric connections and replacing both the ip electrical cover and front floor kick-up panel.
