You should eliminate both Evaporator core seal washers when performing this task. Alternatively you can tape off the Evaporator core. New seal washers need to be installed before removing the tape or cap that protects the Evaporator core. Install the txv to the Evaporator core by proceeding to secure the txv to Evaporator core mounting bolts to 7 n.m (62 lb in). The vehicle requires installation of the rear Evaporator line assembly along with an evacuation and recharge of the a/c system. The halogen leak detector (J 39400-A) should be utilized to perform a leak test on the component fittings.
