2003 Chevrolet Corvette Blower Motor Resistor Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the blower motor resistor assembly on 2003 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: You must first unfasten and eliminate the front floor kick-up panel before detaching the blo mot maxifuse(r) #49 from the ip electrical center. Unplug the wiring connectors from both the Blower Motor resistor and motor by first removing the rh lower ip insulator panel. Release the front screw retaining the Blower Motor resistor slightly at 0.197 inches and let the back screw slide out. Gently tip down the back end of the resistor without harming its hvac module insertion point to remove the part from the vehicle. Check the Blower Motor resistor seal health and install a new one if it needs replacement. Insert the upper part of the Blower Motor resistor into the hvac module with its forward retaining slots aligned to the installation screws. Use the rear screw to secure the component and turn all retaining screws to 1.6 n.m (14 lb in). Hook up the electrical connection that supplies power to the Blower Motor through its link to the resistor. At the same time, join the wiring harness connection to the openside of the resistor. Replace the rh lower ip insulator panel while reattaching both the blo mot maxifuse #49 to the ip electrical center and the front floor kick-up panel.
