2004 Chevrolet Corvette Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the rear Ride Height Sensor for the electronic suspension on 2004 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: You need to switch off the ignition before using a safety stand to lift the vehicle and start the replacement process on the rear position sensor for electronic suspension. Start by taking off the tire assembly then disconnect the position sensor connector before removing the position sensor harness retainers. The control arm link stud requires removal of the position sensor link followed by the position sensor mounting bolts to pull the position sensor out of the vehicle. To fit the new position sensor you must place it into the vehicle while following the fastener notice in service precautions then install the mounting bolts using 7 nm (62 inch lbs.) torque. After connecting the position sensor link to the control arm link stud secure the purchased position sensor connector while also putting retainers on the harness. The installation ends with reattaching the tire and wheel assembly after lowering the vehicle to the ground.
