How to replace the rear upper control arm on 2004 Chevrolet Corvette?

To remove the rear upper Control Arm, suspend the vehicle and take off the tire and wheel assembly. Remove the Wheel Speed Sensor and, if applicable, the real-time damping (RTD) position sensor link. With the help of j 42188 ball joint separator (J 42188), you should be able to separate the suspension knuckle from the upper Control Arm. Jack stands will be employed to support the lower Control Arm, along with loosening the upper ball joint stud nut without it being taken off, followed by the removal of j 42188 and the ball joint stud nut from the ball joint stud. Then, you remove the retaining bolts for the upper Control Arm where it attaches to the frame and take the entire upper Control Arm out of the vehicle. For installation, install the upper Control Arm back into the vehicle and attach upper Control Arm mounting bolts to the frame, which have to be tightened to 110 nm (81 ft. Lbs.). Install suspension knock lower ball joint stud into the upper Control Arm by using allen wrench, if needed, to prevent the ball joint stud nut from spinning during tightening. When tightening the suspension knuckle ball joint stud nut, it should be tightened to 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs) to seat the ball joint stud nut, and then it should be rotated another 250 degrees and ensure at least a minimum final torque of 55 nm (41 ft. Lbs.). Untermine the connector on the Wheel Speed Sensor electrical connector, install the shock absorber solenoid electrical connector if applicable, real-time damping position sensor link if applicable. Lastly, remove jack stand from the lower Control Arm, re-install the tire and wheel assembly, put the car back down, and conduct a rear wheel alignment.
