  A: The replacement process for the negative battery cable starts by disconnecting the negative battery cable followed by the positive battery cable. After removing the ground wire bolt and ground wire from the frame the technician should remove the remote positive stud cover. You will remove the positive cable junction block lead nut and the positive battery cable from their position on the underhood accessory wiring junction block.
