How to replace the rear door window motor on 2004 Chevrolet Malibu?

The first step for motor replacement starts by opening the rear door and taking out the rear door trim panel and water deflector. First disconnect the electrical connector from the rear door Window Regulator motor then remove the rear door Window Regulator to door screws. Put the rear door Window Regulator inside the access opening to extract the component before removing the rear door Window Regulator motor to regulator screws. Then remove the rear door Window Regulator motor assembly. During assembly place the rear door Window Regulator motor assembly on the rear door Window Regulator by tightening its regulator screws to 6 n.m (53 lb in). Secure the rear door Window Regulator motor through the door opening and fasten the door screws at 10 n.m (89 lb in). Put the motor electrical connector back into the rear door Window Regulator. Reinstall the water deflector and then the rear door trim panel before finishing up by closing the door.
