How to replace the thermostat housing on 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L engines on 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500?

In an engine with 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L, to change the thermostat housing, one has to remove the radiator outlet hose, then detach the water pump inlet and thermostat of the water pump, and replace them together in the water pump as an assembly. Install the new thermostat and housing attaching the bolts and reconnecting the radiator outlet hose.
