    Replacing the Thermostat Housing on 4.8l, 5.3l, and 6.0l engines starts by removing the radiator outlet hose followed by taking out the Water Pump inlet bolts to detach the Water Pump inlet and Thermostat while noting the Thermostat's requirement for replacement only as an assembly with the Water Pump inlet. Installation requires placing the Thermostat and Thermostat Housing onto the Water Pump in accordance with service precautions fastener notice. After securing the Thermostat Housing bolts with 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.) torque, reinstall the radiator outlet hose.
