How to replace the A/C Expansion Valve on 2004 Chevrolet SSR?

The steps to be followed to replace the thermal expansion valve (TXV) include recovering the refrigerant, loosening the TXV mounting stud nut, and disassembling the compressor hose assembly. Take away old seal washers, and take away TXV bolts, and remove the TXV. Install new seal washers, clamp the TXV, re-connect the hose assembly and test the leak.
