  A: Start the Brake Master Cylinder overhaul by taking it out of the vehicle and holding its mounting flange in a vise while making sure you can see the back of the primary Piston. Wipe down the reservoir rim before you remove the cap and diaphragm to check if the parts have damages or defects and need replacing. Use a smooth instrument to press down the primary Piston in the cylinder bore and then take out its retaining ring before you pull out the entire Piston assembly. Seal off all cylinder ports and use filtered low air pressure to delete the secondary Piston and primary seal components from the cylinder system. Discard the master cylinder parts. Before building the master cylinder check its interior and exterior parts including secondary Piston and return spring. Wash them thoroughly with denatured alcohol and inspect for damage to find replacements when necessary. Apply delco supreme 11 brake fluid gm 12377967 or equal to all overhaul new and reused parts and the secondary Piston space inside the master cylinder bore before air drying these parts with filtered non-lubed air. Mount both lubricated new seals onto the secondary Piston then put the lubricated return spring and secondary Piston assembly into the cylinder bore above the new lubricated primary Piston assembly . Push the large cylinder tool into its primary Piston smoothly to install the new Piston holder followed by reconnecting all other components.
