    A: The replacement of right rear park brake cables without rpo nys begins with releasing the brake and raising the vehicle for safety. The park brake cable relief begins with pulling it down towards the front of the equalizer before disconnecting it from the equalizer bar. First disconnect the rear axle clip bolt then proceed to detach the cable from the differential clip together with the mounting bracket by pressing the locking tabs. Properly remove the cable by first extracting it through the left then right side cable guides as well as track bar clips and lever and backing plate and retaining bracket in sequence. Attach the new cable through all guides and body mounts while pressing it tightly against the backing plate until locking tabs snap (15 series) before connecting to the lever. Proceed with cable routing for the second backing plate (25 series) and install installation clips that should rest between the locators (15 series). Screw the cable into the right and left guides which will latch into the mounting bracket when the lock tabs snap. Check the differential clips receive a 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) torque before testing how well the rear axle holding clip crimps the cable. Treat any loose connections by crimping. To complete the installation insert the park brake cable into the equalizer bar followed by the removal of safety stands then the lowering of the vehicle and final adjustment of the park brake cable.
