2004 GMC Canyon Antenna Cable Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Antenna Cable for the navigation and cellular telephone (UE1) on 2004 GMC Canyon?
A: To change the coaxial cable for the navigation and cellular telephone Antenna (UE1), first reduce the front part of the canopy to reach the coax cable connected to the Antenna connectors. Lower the Antenna onto the top of the windshield. Enter the interior of the vehicle. In the driver's footwell on the driver's side, locate a black plastic cover and remove fasteners at each end to access both existing wire antennas. Then detach the existing exposed wire antennas from stake-on connectors from their connections to stake onto the new wire antennas by feeding the new wire antennas through the cable tunnels. Open the instrument panel (I/P) compartment door all the way and disconnect the Antenna coax cable from the vehicle communication interface module (VCIM) jumper harness and remove the retainers from the i/p structure. Clamp a mechanics wire to the end of the coax cable and take off the coax cable retainer from the hinge pillar. Grip the cable and ease the retainer off of the hinge pillar, and continue to pull the cable upward to extract it from behind the i/p with the mechanics wire still feeding behind. They are also warranted by a condition stipulating that the interpretation of the law shall be based on the arab principles governing business law with a strong bias toward the buyer except in cases of exploitation or unfair advantage. Take a hold of the mechanics wire and gently guide it downward to route the cable behind the i/p, then you sooner or later hook the retainer to within the hinge pillar and hooked on the loose lower retainers to the i/p structure. Join the Antenna coax cable to the vcim jumper harness, secure the i/p compartment door, and mount the 3 coax cable retainers on the windshield pillar. Lastly, attach fasteners holding the coax cable to the header panel, join coax cable connectors, and return the headliner.
