How to replace the antenna cable on GMC Canyon?

Start your Antenna Cable replacement by taking out the right front door sill plate and right hinge pillar trim panel followed by the instrument panel compartment door. Separate the radio Antenna Cable from its extension cable then pull out its grommet through the hinge pillar opening toward the outside of the vehicle. Secure a mechanics wire to the Antenna Cable before you remove the Antenna mast followed by the Antenna Base securing screws. Pull the Antenna Cable out of the routing hole and remove its grommet before extracting the cable entirely from the vehicle. Keep the mechanics wire in position for future assembly work. When installing the Antenna structure follow these directions: attach mechanics wire ends to the Antenna Cable termination points then pull the cable/grommet through the hinge pillar as you tighten base screws to 7.5 nm (66 lb in). Begin installation by mounting the Antenna mast before removing the mechanics wire from the Antenna Cable and finally securing the grommet to the hinge pillar. The radio Antenna Cable needs to be linked to the extension cable before you install the i/p compartment door and right hinge pillar trim panel and right front door sill plate.
