How to Replace an Antenna Cable on 2009 GMC Canyon?

Start by removing the right front door sill plate followed by uninstalling the right hinge pillar trim panel before unlocking and removing the instrument panel compartment door. Disassemble the radio Antenna Cable from the extension cable before carefully extracting the grommet from its position in the hinge pillar through the outbound direction. The mechanics wire requires attachment to the Antenna Cable before removing the Antenna mast and then securing the Antenna Base with screws. Pull both grommet and cable from their routing hole on the vehicle and extract the Antenna Cable so only the mechanics wire remains in place for future assembly. When installing the system guide the Antenna Cable through the hinge pillar with the help of mechanics wire that attaches to the end of the cable. The Antenna Base installation requires screws that reach 7.5 nm (66 lb in) torque tightness before installing the Antenna mast. After you detach the mechanics wire from the Antenna Cable you should install the grommet to the hinge pillar before joining the radio Antenna Cable to the extension cable. To finish up the installation you must add the i/p compartment door together with the right hinge pillar trim panel along with the right front door sill plate.
